Presented by the LUNA Sandal Company, Running with Tarahumara is a photographic essay narrated by photographer, Luis Escobar. See recent and rare images of the Tarahumara “Running People” of Northern Mexico’s Copper Canyon. This fast moving 45 minute presentation is open to the public. Topics include, Tarahumara, how and why they run, Tarahumara running style, it’s impact on modern American running and traditional Tarahumara Rarajipari bolla racing.

Native of the California Central Coast, Luis Escobar is a professional photographer, accomplished distance runner and high school cross country coach. Luis has recently returned home from his second adventure into Northern Mexico where he participated in the Copper Canyon 50 Mile Ultra Marathon. He ran with and photographed the elusive Tarahumara Running People. Running with Tarahumara is a narrated presentation of images from that trip.
