Directions
Directions to Cater Water Treatment Plant (start / finish)
Northbound on Hwy 101: 101 North exit Las Positas. Turn right towards the mountains. When you cross State Street, Las Positas becomes San Roque Road. Follow San Roque Road up to the Cater Water Treatment Plant on your left.
Southbound on Hwy 101: 101 South exit Las Positas. Turn left towards the mountains. When you cross State Street, Las Positas becomes San Roque Road. Follow San Roque Road up to the Cater Water Treatment Plant on your left.
Directions to Tunnel Trail
From the Cater Water Treatment Plant drive down San Roque Road to the lights and turn left onto Foothill Road. Turn left on Mission Canyon Road at the fire station and continue for 1.0 mile At the sign for Tunnel road, bear left and drive 1.2 miles to the end of the road. Parking is allowed on the right side of the road but not beyond the "No Parking" sign.
Directions to Romero Canyon (turn around)
From the Cater Water Treatment Plant drive down San Roque Road across State Street at which time San Roque Road become Las Positas. Turn left onto the 101 South. Proceed out on the 101 about 7.50 miles to the Sheffield drive exit ( This is a LEFT lane freeway exit). Turn LEFT at the exit and then RIGHT at the stop sign onto Sheffield Drive. This road makes an immediate sharp left curb. Stay on Sheffield Drive 1.4 miles until it intersects with East Valley Road/ Turn LEFT on East Valley Road and go about 150 feet then turn RIGHT on Romero Canyon Road continue for 1.5 miles being careful to bear right at the Y junction. Turn right on Bella Vista Road and continue for .3 of a mile. The aid station will be set up on the left-hand side near the gate.
Direction to Hot Springs Trail
South on 101 to Hot Springs exit (left lane). Turn left on Hot Springs Road and go 3.2 miles to Mountain Drive. Turn left on Mountain Drive and go 0.2 miles to the trailhead, which is on the right side.
Directions to San Ysidro Trail Head
From the Cater Water Treatment Plant drive down San Roque Road across State Street at which time San Roque road Becomes Las Positas. Turn left onto the 101 South. Proceed on the 101 and exit on San Ysidro. Turn left at the stop sign and go 1.1 miles to East Valley Road. Turn right, go .9 miles to Park Lane.Turn left, go .4 miles to East Mountain Drive. Bear left on East Mountain Drive and go to the end of the block. Park wherever space is available. Do not park near the horse stables or on the San Ysidro Ranch property.
